Knowing why you are doing something is important but I think it may be more important to determine what you want .
Knowing what you want will automatically put you in a head space to know exactly what you need to do to achieve it.
If you want to get all A’s then you know that in order to accomplish this that you must development good and consistent study habit and get to sleep on time so that you are engaged in the class work.
If you want to Lose 100 pounds then you know that in order to accomplish this you must development good dietary habits, exercise 3 to 4 days a week and possibly incorporate vitamins and supplements into your daily routine.
If you want to earn a million dollars in your business then you know that you must limit your distractions and give up some of those right now that you want and focus instead on what you need. You know that you need a mentor preferably someone who has reached this financial level. You also know that you will have to put in numerous hours of work and be willing to lose sleep.
So yes your “ WHY” is important but also knowing what you want goes hand in hand. Whenever actions or behaviors are out of line with what you want you can quickly correct them. This is why what you want must be defined clearly. Know where you want to go and what you want to achieve. When this has been defined clearly you can execute the necessary behaviors to get you to your pinnacle point. Why is good but knowing what you want is even better.
I challenge you to write down 3 things that you want to accomplish this year and review them daily. If your behavior or actions are out of line with accomplishing what you want, I encourage that you act swiftly to change it. Identifying those behaviors congruent with what you stated that you wanted will be crucial to obtaining it.
